Continuing slowdown in monthly and annual decrease of apartment prices was noticed in January 2010

The Ober-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI) for January of this year shows that apartment prices in the five major Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, and Panevėžys) have gone down 0.8% (in December 2009, a monthly decrease of 0.9% was registered).

The OHBI value registered in January shows that over the past 12 months apartment prices have dropped 24.5% (in August 2009, the annual price decrease was 26.8%).

From the highest summarised apartment price level, which was achieved in December 2007, and until January 2009, apartment prices in major Lithuanian cities dropped 38.5%
